Speed and Direction Sensors

MSC’s speed and direction sensors consist of a hall effect chip and can determine the speed of a rotating target and the direction in which the target is rotating. The speed is displayed as a digital square wave and the direction output is shown as a high state voltage in one direction and a lower state of voltage in the other direction. Using the phase angle and duty cycle of the output signals, an accurate calculation of direction is determined for all MSC’s speed and direction sensors.
