Hall Effect Sensors for Speed & Direction
MSC’s speed and direction sensors consist of a Hall effect chip and can determine the speed of a rotating target and the direction in which the target is rotating. They operate based on the Hall effect principle, where a magnetic field passing through a semi-conductor induces a voltage. This voltage changes in response to the movement of a magnetic target, allowing the sensor to detect speed and direction with exceptional accuracy.
